Having just returned from China, I find myself very interested in combining words and images. I do this by re-using cardboard boxes as painting supports. As I paint in a very expressive manner, I am trying to incorporate the printed words on the box. mystery or confusion. House paint of pre-used cardboard. 22 x 28 inches.

FLY FISHING MONTANA #1

 
Early spring, fine days got me thinking of fly fishing. A small series resulted, maybe more later. This image is of a creel, no one used them any more as no one keeps trout to eat any more. I do, from high mountain lakes an afternoon of fishing and I will keep 2 for my wife and I for dinner, in the creel, full of meadow grass and cool air and the fly box.
